My work was inspired by utilizing found and recycled material such as cardboard boxes, and the symbolism in the action of opening a box. This action reminds me of one of the most common things we do when communicating with others or forming relationships; assuming a person's life without knowing much about it. This to me is also similar to what happens in a household, and how we regularly pass by houses noticing how similar they look but what's inside differs; some have family issues and others are living alone.
